An Introduction to the Integral Vision
Some say Integral Theory may be the first comprehensive world philosophy, which is interesting but why does it matter to you? It matters if you’re interested in your own development. It matters if you need evidence of human’s potential. It matters if you’re confused about how different disciplines and methodologies cohere. It matters if you cannot understand how some people think/behave. But most of all it matters if you need hope for the future of the planet. The Integral Vision is at its core, a map of humanity’s capacity for increased care, compassion and love, which we need in large doses for our planet to survive and flourish.

Applying Integral Theory for Coaches, Spiritual Directors and Therapists
This five-session course will first introduce the five aspects of Integral Theory (quadrants, levels, lines, states and types) and then focus on four key lines of development to give helping professionals an understanding of their usefulness with clients. Clarity about specific lines of development, including the spiritual, values and ego lines, enhances your capacity to understand how a client experiences the world. In addition it gives clues to what issues are salient for an individual and therefore what practices will help them develop more fully.
Fee: Five 1 1/2 hour sessions: $250

The Three Faces of Spirit
Using the Integral Model as a backdrop, this course will focus on three faces, or perspectives, of Spirit. While the Ultimate is beyond all perspectives, the way we relate to It is via perspectives. These perspectives are first person, second person and third person, or the three faces of God. Through art, verse, guided meditation and discussion we’ll explore all three. You will discover that each of the world’s religious traditions tend to favor one perspective over another though usually each perspective can be found within the tradition. Individuals also tend to have a favored perspective. You will gain a greater understanding of your favored way of relating to and connecting with the Ultimate as well as developing a greater appreciation for all three perspectives. Each one has great value and taken together they deepen experience of the Mystery.

This course was extremely helpful to embodying my understanding of the lines in Integral Coaching. Barbara’s skill as a teacher is remarkable — she presents the information well, invites deep inquiry, and makes plenty of space for discussion and discovery. No question is too big or too small! And her respect and love for the material, the students, and our clients feels boundless. She creates a wonderful container for the class.
